When you want to launch your own energy drink, soda or private-label beverage, minimum order quantity is often one of the first barriers.
Many founders are quoted 200,000–250,000 cans or more for custom printed aluminum packaging. At Öz Ekvator Beverages, we can also evaluate private-label projects starting at around 20,000 units in 250 ml cans.
1. Why do some producers ask for 250,000 units?
The main reason is often not the beverage itself, but how the brand is applied to the can. Traditional production prints the design directly onto aluminum.
Prepress, line setup and color calibration create fixed costs. Large runs spread those costs across more units. Yet 250,000 is not a universal rule; the minimum changes with printing technology, can type and supplier.
2. How can we start at a lower quantity?
Our approach removes the dependence on traditional direct-printed cans. With Body Slim Sleeve technology, the design is printed on a dedicated film and applied to an unprinted aluminum can.
A sleeve is a separate covering rather than direct print. With the right material and application, it delivers a professional, shelf-ready appearance.
- ✓Planning with lower opening quantities
- ✓A professional custom-branded package
- ✓Flexibility for flavors and design variants
- ✓A more controlled market test
- ✓Less need to hold large stocks of empty printed cans
3. How does the approximately 20,000-unit model work?

Production quantity and total volume for 250 ml cans
| Production quantity | Total beverage volume |
|---|---|
| 20,000 cans | 5,000 liters |
| 50,000 cans | 12,500 liters |
| 100,000 cans | 25,000 liters |
| 250,000 cans | 62,500 liters |
4. The advantage of starting with 20,000
You can enter the market without committing to very large inventory before demand is proven. A more focused first run lets you observe sales, customer response and distribution before planning the next order.
Unit cost may be higher at lower volumes. The right quantity should be decided together with cost, target selling price and distribution strategy.
5. Can every beverage be made in 20,000 units?
Conditions differ by product. Formula, ingredient sourcing, filling, packaging and regulation can all affect the minimum. Therefore, 20,000 units is not an unconditional guarantee for every beverage.
We prefer to assess an idea technically and commercially instead of rejecting it based only on quantity. Contact us even if your target is lower or higher.
6. Which beverages can you produce?
Talk to us about energy drinks, carbonated drinks, cola and soda, fruit-flavored beverages and special concepts. Your brand does not need to be finished; an idea is enough to begin the conversation.
7. You do not need to be a large brand
We believe new ventures deserve the opportunity to test their ideas. We consider the product idea, goals and feasibility—not only the order size.
Every major brand was once just an idea.
